Project information:
This present project proposal will be promoted by a group of young people (men and women) from UCA SOPPEXCCA cooperative members trained in the production of products based on recyclable waste. Young people will be the creators of products based on plastics, carton, aluminum and other materials that can be used to make costume jewelry, handicrafts or other creations that are very common in their communities.
For the elaboration of the products, the group of young people will be provided with tools and some necessary materials for the treatment and recycling of waste. The young people are trained in a practical way by people who have experience with this topic and participate in exchanges with other groups of young people in the country and in the cities, who already have experience with this type of work.
With the implementation of this proposal we want to contribute to the care of the environment, to the awareness of the people of the communities in the environmental issue and to the creation of an income generating alternative for young people, with which they will also be able to make good use of their free time.
UCA SOPPEXCCA will provide accompaniment and technical follow-up to young people through the person in charge of the social area who will be in charge of monitoring that young people are working and making good use of the materials provided.

General objective:
Contribute to the preservation of the environment, strengthening the culture of recycling in young people, through the use of techniques for the transformation of reusable products.
Specific objective:
- Training and guidance of young people in the techniques for converting reusable products
- Development of ecological materials through the learned techniques
- Raising the awareness of the community and the cooperative about the importance of recycling
