In Colombia, there is a debate in social movements and in the politics to create more museums and places of memory of the social and political conflict. Right now in the context of the peace process, it is necessary to do everything for reconciliation, memory and reparation.
It is impossible to rebuild a country without memory. Even if you sometimes are not able to tell someone the truth in the face and even if it is painful. We need places where we keep telling ourselves, what happened, how it happened and who was responsible. Only in this way can be created in the future a peaceful land country.
Victims are still waiting for their justice in Colombia, families are looking for their disappeared and people have to live with stigmatization. We as a foundation also support this process with a small contribution in the regions of Caquetá and Meta in setting up a project of memory.
