In times of crisis caused by the Corona virus pandemic, of course, our supported projects also have their tasks, despite known problems around the world.

In the village Héctor Ramírez (community of Agua Bonita – southern Colombia), for example, ex-combatants in the FARC’s reincorporation process design and make masks to strengthen the prevention of the most vulnerable groups against Covid-19. Other textiles are normally made here.

In the northern Nicaraguan city of Jinotega, where we support social projects with the cooperative association “Soppexcca”, there is still hope in the crisis and that they can continue with the export of coffee. The numerous small cooperative stores have an important job in the villages, avoid hoarding purchases and provide a variety of staples. Cooperatives also have a hygiene commission. But here, too, work was kept to a minimum.
