Report on the Use of Funds – Jinotega
Introduction
Preserving the most precious gift: life.
Our goal is to ensure the well-being of those who have not been as fortunate in life and do not have the privilege of a family to care for them. They are stripped of all kinds of material goods that would allow them to live with dignity in their old age. Nevertheless, they have worked and contributed to the development of a country in various fields, without having had access to benefits that would secure them a pension from social security, into which they have never paid. Perhaps they were exploited due to their ignorance of their rights.
Our mission is to meet their basic physical, material, and spiritual needs, while also considering the emotional and sentimental aspects of the elderly. It is important for us to find sources of support that enable us to provide them with better conditions. For us, this means finding God’s mercy, which brings love into hearts and the ability to detach from one’s own to help those who need it most.
We sincerely thank you for this contribution, which has meant the following improvements for us:
1. Creation of an access gate and security fence for the transport of stretchers to the hospital, to increase the efficiency of transport and care times while ensuring a safe space for the elderly.
2. Payment for the manufacture and installation of the access gate or security fence.
3. Construction of a covered and tiled area so that the elderly have a safe place for recreational activities when the weather is not favorable for staying in the hall or outdoors, whether due to rain or too much sun in the summer.
4. Purchase of six toilets and sinks, which will be installed as soon as we have gathered the funds for installation.
5. Purchase of materials to improve the ceilings in the access corridors to the various areas, with installation pending while we gather funds for the payment process.
6. Approximately 20% of the labor costs for the new tiled and covered area have been paid.
Summary of the Process:
On November 11, an account was opened at BAC with an amount of C$ 2,500 (two thousand five hundred Córdobas net), and the account information was sent to Mr. Christian.
On November 20, funds amounting to C$ 212,543.68 (two hundred twelve thousand five hundred sixty-three Córdobas and 68 centavos) were received in the account.
On November 25, the first purchase was made for the construction of the fence requested by Cruz Blanca to facilitate access for stretchers to the rooms in case of emergencies.
On December 9, the construction of the fence was completed.
Between December 10 and 26, further purchases were made as required.
On December 15, the process of preparing the land for the covered and tiled area began.
On January 15, given the progress of the work, the first payment was made with the remaining amount after the purchase of materials and payment for the fence, thus concluding the use of the amount deposited by the foundation.
At the time of the report, the work on the roof and floor is nearly complete. This is an important space for the recreation and relaxation of our elderly. We will seek ways to advance with the replacement of the sanitary facilities and the roof of the corridors.
Our deepest thanks.
